FAQs

What is Gold Vermeil?

We predominantly use vermeil (pronounced ver-may) for our gold jewellery. Vermeil is a thickly plated layer of at least 14k gold or rose gold onto a sterling silver base. Due to the thickness of its plating, as well as the playing process, vermeil is much more durable than other plated jewellery. Vermeil is also more tolerable to sensitive skin because of its sterling silver base. It is widely used as a quality and affordable alternative to real gold.

How do I care for my jewellery?

We recommend not to shower or bathe in your jewellery, and avoid it coming into contact with lotions, perfumes and oils. Your jewellery can be cleaned carefully with a soft, non-abrasive and lint-free cloth which will help to maintain or bring back its shine. For an occasional extra clean, you can also use a mild washing up liquid with warm water and a soft toothbrush, then rinse with clean water and pat dry with a soft cloth.
